Mechanical Estimator

At Dornan we are currently recruiting for For a mechanical estimator to join our London office team to work on mechanical projects in central London and Europe.

Your day to day will include:

• To prepare and collate tenders and source pre-project information by a given deadline.
• To provide fast, accurate, competitive and profitable estimates from enquires stage to bid submission
• To follow up on submitted tenders
• To analyse sub-contractor / vendor quotations and checking inclusions and exclusions
• To deal with clients at post tender meetings and conduct presentations
• Provide support and assistance to the Estimating team
• Attend tender and follow up meetings when required
• All other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager

What we are looking for:

• Detailed knowledge of the Estimating role 8 Plus years experience 
• Commercial understanding
• Brief understanding of the Engineering systems
• Knowledge of the teams strengths and weaknesses
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Recognises own strengths and weaknesses and committed to ongoing development
• Acceptance of responsibility and accountability
