At Dornan we are currently recruiting for IT Infrastructure Engineer to work in our Cork Head Office.
In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and optimising our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across all systems. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers to implement cutting-edge solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.
This a hybrid role, based at our head office in Little Island, Cork, with opportunities to travel to various sites across Europe. You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of technologies, enhancing your skills and experience in a dynamic environment.
Your day to day will include:
- Microsoft Windows Server: Setup, support, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Microsoft Windows Operating System: Provide comprehensive support for various versions, ensuring smooth operation and user satisfaction.
- Azure Virtual Machine: Setup, support, and management of virtual environments to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Office 365: Configuration, support, and troubleshooting to maximise productivity and collaboration.
- AutoPilot: Setup and configuration to streamline device deployment and management.
- Intune: Setup, support, and configuration for mobile device management and application control.
- Active Directory / Entra ID: Management and administration to maintain secure and efficient directory services.
- Conditional Access Policies: Implementation and management to enhance security and compliance.
- Google Cloud Services: Utilisation and support to leverage cloud-based solutions for various business needs.
- Hyper-V: Management and support of virtualisation infrastructure to optimize resource utilisation.
- End User Compute: Provide support for end-user devices and applications to ensure a seamless user experience.
- MS Teams: Administration and support to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- PowerShell Scripting: Development and execution of scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Cisco Meraki: Configuration and management of network devices to ensure robust connectivity and security.
- Firewall/Azure Firewall: Management and monitoring to protect against threats and ensure network security.
- IT Security: Oversight and implementation of security measures to safeguard data and systems.
- Backups: Management and execution of backup processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Device Setup: Configuration and deployment of various devices to meet user needs.
- Patching and Updates: Implementation of patches and updates to maintain system security and performance.
- Printer Support: Maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure reliable printing services.
What we are looking for:
Degree & Certifications: Bachelor's in computer science or a related field. Azure Fundamentals and Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals. CCNA is desirable but not essential.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT support, with hands-on experience in Windows Server 2019, AutoPilot, and administration of Office 365, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
Technical Skills:
- PowerShell: Proficiency in scripting for automation and task management.
- Veeam: Experience with backup and replication solutions.
- Networking: Knowledge of Cisco Meraki and Azure firewall management.
- Virtualization: Experience with Hyper-V and Azure Virtual Machines.
- Cloud Services: Familiarity with both Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
- Security: Understanding of IT security principles and practices, including conditional access policies.
- Device Management: Expertise in Intune for mobile device management.
- End User Support: Skills in supporting desktop hardware and software, including operating systems and MS Office products.
- Collaboration Tools: Administration of MS Teams and Office 365 applications.
- Project Management: Some level of project management experience is highly desirable.
- Customer Service: Strong understanding of customer service delivery within an IT environment.
- Troubleshooting: Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills.
