We are seeking a DFMA Facility Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our West Midlands OSM facility. Reporting to the Business Unit Director, you will ensure the site is safe, compliant, well‑maintained, and operating efficiently, while representing Dornan's core values of integrity, dependability, safety, pride, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all facility operations including maintenance, repairs, security, utilities, and compliance.
- Act as the main contact for contractors and service providers, ensuring high‑quality and timely work.
- Implement effective policies, procedures, and improvement initiatives.
- Lead, support, and develop the facilities team.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor spend, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Maintain strong safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and support wider organisational goals.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in a similar facilities or operations management role.
- Strong leadership skills and accountability.
- Self‑aware, committed to personal development.
- Excellent communication and contractor‑management skills.
- Solid understanding of HSE and compliance within industrial environments.
